Myande Focuses on Global Expansion, Winning Over International Markets

Oct 23, 2024

Three years ago, the largest export order for China’s grain and oil processing equipment to Europe left Shanghai Port—comprising 3,000TPD soybean, 2,000TPD rapeseed, and 2,700TPD sunflower seed oil processing equipment, bound for KU Group, a renowned oil processing company in Russia.

Time flies. Today, KU Group has firmly established itself as a leader in Russia's grain processing and trading, thanks to a solid foundation of equipment, much of which comes from Myande Group.

In Chairman Mr. Xu Bin's office, a world map prominently displays the company's global footprint, with each red flags marking key one milestone across continents: from Brazil to Uzbekistan, from Malaysia to Indonesia, from Argentina to Colombia… Myande has supplied equipment to major international grain and oil companies such as Louis Dreyfus, Cargill, Bunge, and ADM. Complete processing lines and state-of-the-art, energy-efficient, environmentally friendly grain and oil processing plants have been successfully established in over 80 countries.

How has Myande, starting from scratch in the oilseed equipment and turnkey project sector, captured international market attention? Myande Global Marketing Vice President Mr. Li Xudong attributes innovation as the key driver for securing development opportunities and gaining competitive advantages. He presented a substantial record of the company's achievements: the company was named a National Champion Enterprise in Manufacturing, received a nomination for the Jiangsu Provincial Governor's Quality Award, accumulated over 500 intellectual property rights, including more than 100 patents, and undertook five national-level Torch and Spark Program projects.

On the day of the interview, the reporter saw a transport trailer carrying "oversized" equipment, set to head to the port. It was Myande's flagship product—the "E-type Extractor." Myande Vice Chairman Mr. Wang Mu remarked, "The extractor is the core equipment for oil extraction in edible oil production. For years, European and American companies dominated the global oilseed equipment market with related technologies. Today, we have successfully developed the E-type Extractor, with full intellectual property rights, solving the 'bottleneck' problem."

Why is the name preceded by an "E"? "It stands for Energy-saving," Wang Mu explained, highlighting that through products like the E-type Extractor, Myande oil producing technology has significantly reduced consumption in soybean processing. For example, steam consumption per ton is 30% lower than the global industry average, contributing to energy conservation and emission reduction.

Typically, the focus in the oilseed equipment and turnkey project sector is on oil extraction rates and energy consumption. However, Myande has set its sights on "oil quality and human health." After 20 years of engineering practice, adhering to the principle of "more oil, better oil," Myande developed the Nano Cavitation Reaction Device and Variable Temperature Deodorization System. "Currently, these technologies have achieved 'zero trans fatty acids' in various oil products, significantly enhancing the oil quality," explained Mr. Liang Chunsong, Director of Myande Engineering Technology Center. He elaborated that crude oil refining into edible oil requires processes such as degumming, decolorizing, and deodorizing. "Traditional processes rely on molecular and atomic structures, but our latest work breakthroughs penetrate to the nanometer level, enhancing refining efficiency."

From product output to complete plant delivery, Myande’s global expansion strategy is increasingly driven by the pursuit of "new quality." Myande Quality Director Mr. Mao Weijiang explained that in recent years, the company has embraced Industry 4.0 concepts, intensifying the development and application of advanced technologies such as smart algorithms, and creating a new framework for intelligent solutions. For example, the third-phase low-carbon intelligent manufacturing project, launched in 2022, integrates robotic systems, high-power laser cutting, and AGV intelligent logistics systems, greatly enhancing production efficiency. The project also incorporates "smart transformation" through 3D factory design and dynamic simulation, enabling modular design and management of products and processes.

In April of 2024, Myande’s Innovation Center officially broke ground, and in December, the main structure of the Concept Verification Center was completed. Mr. Mao Weijiang shared that the construction of these centers will provide a platform for technological innovation and R&D, ensuring the company’s high-quality development for the next 20 years. "We will work with universities, research institutes, and industry stakeholders to strengthen theoretical research and concept trials, bridging the 'last mile' for transforming scientific and technological achievements into practical applications, which will further enhance Myande's global competitiveness."

Talent is fundamental to the success of any enterprise, and Myande’s rapid development over the past 20 years has been strongly supported by its talented workforce. To build a team of high-level innovative talents and skilled workers, Myande has launched action plans such as the "Key Position Successor and Backup Talent Training Program." "We have established a comprehensive talent development system, which includes regular professional training, career development guidance, and opportunities for internal and external exchanges," said Mrs. Sun Huarong, Director of Myande Human Resources Department.

"Holding the oil bottle firmly in our hands" — this is the shared aspiration of everyone at Myande. With unwavering commitment, Myande will continue to move forward toward its goals, contributing "Yangzhou wisdom" to the high-quality development of the global grain and oil industry.
