Myande Group Held 2023 Limited Space Emergency Rescue Exercise

To further strengthen on-site operation safety management and improve emergency rescue capabilities in confined space operations, on December 1st, Safety Committee of Myande Group conducted a limited space emergency rescue exercise in its Manufacturing Center.

Senior executives of Myande Group such as Myande CEO Mr. Rong Zhen, Production Director Mr. Mao Weijiang, members of the Safety Committee and other senior managerial staff, and floor workers involved in limited space operations observed the exercise. Leaders of local government organizations responsible for corporate safety and emergency management were invited to oversee this event.  

The exercise simulated a scene where workers were poisoned and unconscious while welding in the closed tank. After the on-site inspection personnel discover it, they shall promptly report the accident situation to the on-site commander. The on-site commander immediately activated the emergency response and organized an emergency rescue team to bring rescue equipment such as positive pressure respirators, gas detectors, AEDs, and rescue ropes to the scene for rescue. After analysis and judgment, the rescue personnel entered the tank to rescue the injured persons. After confirming that the injured persons were not breathing or unconscious, performed CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on them, after they regained consciousness, sent them to the hospital for further examination.

After the exercise, Qian Jun, Deputy Director of the Emergency Management Bureau of Hanjiang District, affirmed that the entire exercise process was standardized and orderly. He pointed out that the high incidence of asphyxiation accidents caused by toxic and harmful gases in limited space operations requires great attention. It is necessary to make full use of various carriers and adopt various forms to widely promote and popularize public safety knowledge and emergency management knowledge, constantly enhance employees' public safety awareness and self-rescue and mutual rescue ability, and minimize disaster losses.
