Recently, 1st ICC Asia-Pacific Grains Conference (APGC) successfully opened at Xiamen Xinglin Bay Hotel. This event was jointly organized by International Cereal Science and Technology Association (ICC) and China Cereals and Oils Association (CCOA) and co-sponsored by Myande Group. Experts from all over the world attended the conference. Mr. Wang Mu, Vice Chairman, Mr. Sun Mingkui, General Manager of Oils & Fats Business Division, and Mr. Lv Yanfei, Deputy General Manager of Oils & Fats Business Division were invited to attend the conference.
Grain and oil are closely related to people's daily life. Furthermore, scientific and technological innovation in grain and oil industry is inextricably linked with the development of human civilization. The theme of this conference is "Food Science and Technology Innovation: From Asia-Pacific to the World". Responding to increasing consumer demand for grain, oil and legume food, this conference aims to promote technological progress and innovation in various fields of processing and utilization of grain and oil, green storage, quality and safety, nutrition and health, to shape new future of food science and technology in Asia-Pacific region.
In addition, the conference has also set up a platform of cooperation and exchange for academic research, product development, government agencies and relevant units from around the world, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. The conference committee brings together world-renowned experts and scholars, also multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary academic exchange activities have been carried out on two major topics of "Food Science and Technology" and "Grease Technology", to seek scientific and technological innovation to promote sustainable development of food industry. Two awards of “Best Youth Report” and “Best Post Paper” have been set up in this conference.
Myande brought international advanced technology in oil, starch and solid-state fermentation to the exhibition of grain and oil products, ingredients and equipment during the same period. Leaders, experts and delegates visited Myande booth, expressing full affirmation on process technology and quality control and speaking highly of Myande’s achievements in recent years. Especially in recent years, Myande has successfully built nine 5,000 t/d and above oilseeds preparation and extraction plants and six 1,000 t/d vegetable oil refining plants. Myande oil equipment successfully passed the expert appraisal and reached the international advanced level, and won the second "Grand Prize" issued by China Cereals and Oils Association since the founding of new China. It has ended the monopolistic situation large-scale oilseeds processing turn-key projects by foreign companies.
Myande has acquired 149 patents including 10 invention patents, in the field of oil equipment through continuous innovation. Various achievements have been affirmed by leaders of association and industry specialists. During the meeting, Myande also exchanged ideas with senior experts at home and abroad on the current status of the industry, the existing market capacity and development of the next few years.
There were 14 parallel sessions, with more than 500 delegates attending, and among them more than 100 delegates giving speeches. The conference covered up to date technologies and achievements in the fields of grain technology, oil science and technology, and provided a platform for scientists and industry experts to share their ideas, innovative technologies and industry trends forecast. Experts from ICC, CCOA, European Oil Union, many well-known universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad were invited to report the latest research progress in grain industry. The meeting discussed new achievements and challenges of technological innovation in the fields of processing and utilization of grain and oil, green storage, quality and safety, nutrition and health, responding to increasing consumer demand for grain, oil and legume food. The meeting aims to seek scientific and technological innovation to promote sustainable development of food industry.
