MVR Falling Film Evaporation and Concentration Project

On December 1, 2015, Myande Group Co., Ltd and Fujian Jinmin Reconstituted Tobacco Development Co., Ltd signed a contract by which Myande will supply an MVR falling film concentration & evaporation facility for the concentration of tobacco stem extracted solution.

Tobacco stem extracted solution evaporation and concentration technology has long been monopolized by foreign companies. In the competitive bidding process for this project, Myande with its advanced technology and comprehensive cost-effective process technology outscore other competing bidders and finally won the contract. The signing of this project indicates that Myande has successfully extended into tobacco concentration business with world-class technology.

Fujian Jinmin Reconstituted Tobacco Development Co., Ltd is directly subsidiary of China Tobacco (Fujian) and one of the key producers of leave tobacco (Chinese style cigarette leaves). As the market development and product constant innovation, its existing production capacity cannot meet the production requirement and it is urgent to add a new production line for the new products.

Paper-making mode of reconstituted tobacco production aims to fully reuse useful components of tobacco stem and powder to reduce tar concentration of cigarettes and harm to the human body so as to improve inherent quality of cigarette. In the production process, the quality of extracted solution from tobacco stem and powder directly affects the quality of final products.

Therefore, it poses high requirements for MVR evaporation and concentration system according to national health standards. Another critical requirement is the optimal preservation of effective element of the condensed liquid so as to enhance the aromatic feature of tobacco.

This project is not only an opportunity to Myande, but also a challenge. In the rapid development of energy-efficient evaporation field, Myande is accumulating experience and technical reserves, having deep research in low-temperature evaporation and concentration technology.

In order to ensure the integrity of the project process, Myande has conducted experimental analysis many times according to the client’s technical requirements and strictly design as the experiment result.

Considering the protection of effective components in the extracting solution, the design adopts low-temperature evaporation. On one hand, it is effective to use heat source and saves the cost of investment, on the other hand, it can avoid circulating evaporate the concentrate and greatly preserve the effective components.
