Myande Wins Award at Jiangsu Provincial Welding Competition

On November 12-13, Myande hosted 2024 Jiangsu Special Equipment Welding Operator Vocational Skills Competition, one of the province's top welding events. Among the competitors are skilled welders from China Changxing Shipyard involved in the manufacturing of Jiaolong submersible, welders from the national training base for welding professionals in Jiangsu, and others who represented the province in national competitions. With such a strong lineup of "welding masters," Myande employees as representative of Yangzhou industry ultimately secured the third-place team honor.

The competition, hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Administration, the Provincial Committee of the Provincial Direct Organs Work Committee, was organized by the Provincial Special Equipment Inspection Institute. A total of 78 welding professionals from 13 cities in Jiangsu competed in this provincial-level event, which is the highest level of vocational skills competition in the province. The competition was divided into two parts: a theoretical exam and a practical skills competition. The theoretical competition took place on November 12 at the Yangzhou Branch of the Jiangsu Special Equipment Inspection Institute, while the practical competition was held on November 13 at Myande Group, the venue known for its large-scale, modern smart manufacturing platform.

With an area of over 130,000 square meters, Myande's advanced manufacturing platform features a specialized welding experiment center, welding material warehouse, physical and chemical laboratory, non-destructive testing center, and robotic welding production lines. This infrastructure is one of the key factors enabling Myande to host a provincial-level event like this competition.

The competition offered team awards, individual awards, and the Excellent Organization Award. After two days of intense competition, the Yangzhou team, representing Myande, earned the third-place team award. Additionally, two Myande participants received individual third-place and Excellence awards. This achievement marks another honor for Myande since winning third place in the 2019 Jiangsu Special Equipment Welding Competition.
