Jiafeng Phase II Refining Line: 66% Reduction in Energy Consumption and 60% Less Wastewater Discharge

On 25th July, Jiangsu Jiafeng Grain & Oil Industry Co. officially put its second edible oil refining line into operation. Myande Group supplied project design, process design and complete equipment. Compared with its first refinery line, the energy consumption of this new refinery facility is reduced by 66% and the amount of wastewater discharged is 60% less. The energy saving, consumption reduction, high product quality, and environmental friendliness all reach the contracted standards. Thus, it is expected that this new refinery facility will produce better economic benefits and good social benefits.

Chen Zhiwei, Chairman of Jiangsu Jiafeng Grain & Oil Industry Co., said in his speech at the launch ceremony that the 700 ton/day edible oil refining and dewaxing production line in Hengxi Industrial Park was implemented in two phases consisting two lines. The first line was put into production in October 2017. Through five years of exploration, based on accumulated production experience, Jiafeng decided in December 2022 to invest on another 350 ton/day edible oil refining and dewaxing production line. Through trial operation, energy consumption of the second line is 66% less than the first line, and amount of discharged wastewater is 60% less.
