ROCO Phase II 4,000TPD Soybean Crushing Plant Starts Production

On the morning of 3rd November, the completion ceremony of Phase II oils &fats processing facility of River & Ocean Cereals and Oils Jiangsu (ROCO), was held at the Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone. The 4,000TPD soybean crushing line included in the Phase II oils &fats processing facility was supplied by Myande.

This new soybean crushing plant incorporates a wide range of Myande core equipment, including the E-type extractor, DTDC, energy-saving hydraulic flaker, and conditioner. Advanced energy-saving technology, vacuum drainage technology, exhaust gas recovery technology and intelligent process safety technology are applied for the purpose of ensuring world-class parameters of the final products, ensuring safe long-term safe operation, and low carbon emissions. In addition, the entire production line is equipped with Myande intelligent system to create intelligent factories for customers with the overall goal of intelligent equipment, production, management and maintenance services.

The completion ceremony of ROCO Phase II oils &fats processing facility, with a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, was held in Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone. The ceremony was attended by Cai Jianfeng, Mayor of Zhangjiagang, Gao Qi, CEO of Louis Dreyfus Company, and Wang Gang, Chairman of Jiangsu Grain Group.

Since the 1990s, Louis Dreyfus Company, one of the world's four largest grain traders, has been working with ROCO in a business relationship that has deepened over time. In 2017, LDC signed an agreement with ROCO for the construction of an oils &fats processing facility (Phase I). In May 2020, Louis Dreyfus again partnered with ROCO to build an oils &fats processing facility (Phase II). The Phase II Oils & Fats Processing Facility officially started construction in June 2021 and started trial operation in August 2023, with an expected additional industrial output value of over 10 billion yuan.

With the operation of the Phase II Oils & Fats Processing Facility, Zhangjiagang Industrial Park will solidify its standing as the biggest feedstock and oil distribution center in East China. Additionally, it will improve the oil and fat supply capabilities not only in Jiangsu Province but also nationwide. It will also increase Louis Dreyfus' production capacity in China to meet the growing demands of the Chinese market through a safe, reliable, transparent and sustainable supply chain for food, feed, fibre and ingredients.

The 4,000 TPD soybean crushing line, part of the Phase II oils &fats processing facility, was successfully commissioned on 28 August 2023 and has produced qualified products.
