Successful Commissioning of COFCO Chengdu 600 TPD Refinery Line Supplied by Myande

COFCO is a globally renowned grain trading giant and its subsidiary COFCO Oils & Fats is a leading edible oil processing company in China. As a globally leading supplier complete oilseeds and edible oil processing equipment, Myande's in-depth cooperation with COFCO has achieved another success.

At 8:00 a.m. on 26th September, the 600T/D soybean oil and rapeseed oil refining plant equipment designed and supplied by Myande was formally commissioned and went into operation. From equipment start up, it took merely 12 hours to produce qualified Grade 1 refined oil which all parameters reaching contract requirements.

The quality of refined oil achieved “zero trans-fatty acids” objectively that COFCO and Myande mutually set up, and the indexes of glycidyl ester and trichloropropanol ester surpass the EU standard, which effectively meets the high-end requirements of COFCO's fats and oils of "Safety, Nutrition and Deliciousness".

The project and technical teams from COFCO Oils & Fats Chengdu set clear goals of constructing an internationally advanced refining production line and delivering a high-quality project. In response to these objectives, Myande's technical team collaborated closely with the client, incorporating numerous innovative technologies and patents into the production line. Notable advancements include the dual-temperature deodorization process, falling film heater, freezing condensation vacuum system, online inspection of key control points throughout the refining process, and several cutting-edge energy-saving technologies. The implementation of these advanced processes and equipment guarantees product safety and nutritional value, while also enabling green and low-carbon production practices.

COFCO (Chengdu) Cereals and Oils Industry Co., Ltd. is located in the COFCO Chengdu Industrial Park, which is the first model industrial park project to implement COFCO Group's strategy of establishing a comprehensive industrial chain to compete with the world's leading enterprises. The industrial park contains 10 sub-projects of six business units (rice, flour, noodles, oils & fats, starch sugar, feed, warehousing and logistics, boiler and power station, railway line, office and living quarters). Upon completion, it will evolve into the largest integrated grain and oil processing hub in Southwest China with 470,000 tons of grain and oil warehousing and 1.5 million tons of grain, oil and foodstuffs processing. And it is expected to realize an annual sales revenue of more than 6 billion yuan, along with an annual profit and tax contribution of 300 million yuan.

Undoubtedly, it will emerge as a highly competitive and modernized grain circulation and processing platform, catering not only to Chengdu and Sichuan but also radiating its influence throughout the southwest region. The successful launch of edible oil refining project stands as a significant leap forward in the progression of industrial park.

This is another successful collaboration between COFCO and Myande after the 3,000t/d rapeseed and 5,000t/d soybean crushing project of COFCO oilseed crushing plant V on April 23, 2022. COFCO Donghai Grain & Oil Co, as an important oilseed processing base of COFCO Group, has four different-scales soybean and rapeseed processing lines, all of which adopt imported equipment. The oilseed crushing plant constructed by Myande is the largest production line in a single plant of COFCO Donghai Grain & Oil Co. The core equipment of this project is independently developed by Myande with proprietary intellectual property rights. The entire intelligent production line has been running steadily for one and a half years, with reliable operation, high product quality, and low energy consumption, successfully achieving the transformation of China's oil and fat equipment from imported substitution to independent surpassing.

At the recent COFCO Oils & Fats "First Supply Chain Development Conference", Myande was awarded the highest honour for innovative technology, "Excellent Technology Supplier", for its outstanding technology and services. The successful completion of the 600TPD soybean oil refining line at COFCO Chengdu, which was constructed by Myande, and the high quality of the oil production further proved the significance of this award.
